Superficial

07/Dec/2021 04:08 — Good morning journal. I have been ponderant since yesterday during that first meeting with the team. A colleague brought up an interesting hypothesis then. Here it goes…

07/Dec/2021 04:10 — Observe: the skin — an organ. There’s more to it than meets the eye, journal. These wrinkles and scars are merely superficial… Here’s the interesting part: are they merely superficial?

07/Dec/2021 04:12 — To what extent are they reflected beyond the epidermis? Could my habits be surely expressed deep down on a molecular level? How do these scars tip the balance (favourably or not) with respect to my survival? With respect to my lineage?

07/Dec/2021 04:13 — The idea is still fresh and Pond remains observant.

07/Dec/2021 04:14 — This superficial, or epidermal expression is not unique or cutting-edge to Psychology. As primates we have evolved not only on a surface level but also cognitively. Under the hood of our skin this massive brain… Ponderant. Questioning at times, assuming at other instances. The chatter seems to go on-and-on sometimes. My insomniac ruminations surely would agree!

07/Dec/2021 04:20 — The lacking subconscious theory of which Pond proposes ought to explain that superficialities such as scars or other indications can be overlooked — accepted. It’s a healing experience for some to be able to accept diversity in it’s glorious shape, color and sentience.

07/Dec/2021 04:22 — Not only could it be healing to some intrinsically but also to that collective or systemic interpretation. Where Jung proposes that blind homogenous consciousness, Pond goes beyond… Yes there is such a thing as a collective thought and it is diverse. Jung calls it a ‘collective unconscious’ but that would be inaccurate according to Pond. Simply, when two individuals are aware of their consciousness they would represent a collective with two ponderant consciousness — a ‘collective consciousness’.

07/Dec/2021 04:25 — The collective terrain is as diverse as any sentient population. Some individuals are aware of their influence — they reject a subconscious. Others are confused and insecure, searching for answers. It’s a jungle out there, journal!

07/Dec/2021 04:27 — However I do not wish to talk about collective consciousness, yet. I want to try and find that meniscus on my test tube… Try and find an accurate measure of how superficialities express a deviation while I go about my day.

07/Dec/2021 04:29 — I am confused and insecure, journal. I must go for a stroll to clear my head. All those meetings yesterday ought to be processed still. Thanks, journal.
